Hublot replica renews its commitment to protecting rhinos in Africa
The Hublot replica brand continues its mission, during which it has pledged to help protect endangered rhinos. And after less than two years, presents the new Big Bang Unico SORAI model. The limited edition consists of one hundred replica watches, this time with a green ceramic case. While the previous version with the beige ceramic case used winter colours that evoked South African nature. This year’s novelty takes inspiration from the local flora in summer. The replica watches come with two straps (camouflage and green). One of which features a rhino profile for the chronograph dial.
In the past decade, poachers have killed two-thirds of rhinos in South Africa’s Kruger Park. The black rhino population in the area has declined dramatically, and today it is estimated that fewer than 500 individuals of the species remain.
Thanks to the determination of animal protectionists and consistent measures to protect rhinos, attacks by poachers were slowly but surely reduced by 2020. Funding from the daily influx of foreign visitors to the park helped keep the poachers at bay. fake watches uk
The situation changed drastically with the arrival of Covid 19, due to which South Africa closed its borders. Income from tourism and, by extension, the number of rangers have dropped to a minimum – poachers are once again able to move undetected throughout the reserve and hunt endangered animals. In order to prevent them from this and to return to working arrangements, local organizations need funding from private donors.
Hublot therefore decided to use its global reach to once again support Kevin Pietersen and his organization SORAI – Save Our Rhino Africa India – with another limited edition Big Bang Unico SORAI watches. Hublot will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the model to Care for Wild, an organization supported by SORAI, the world’s largest rhino sanctuary.
Ricardo Guadalupe – CEO HUBLOT:
“According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), international, national and local partners must work together to solve the biodiversity crisis. It is our dear duty to amplify the voices of those working to protect endangered species. Currently, the African rhinoceros in particular is critically endangered and is at risk of extinction. That’s why we’re really proud to support Kevin Pietersen and his SORAI movement in their efforts to save him.”
Kevin Pietersen – ZAKLADATEL SORAI:
“Every day we fight a battle. Every day is a race against time in which dedicated specialists who have decided to dedicate their lives to saving these animals rescue, rehabilitate rhinos
and release them back into the wild. We don’t want to lose an entire species from Africa’s Big Five. Not for us, but for our children’s children. That’s why we need to come together and work together to protect this species. I am really happy that Hublot has once again decided to support SORAI and raise global awareness of this issue.”
